Dumpsters will be placed on the south end of the municipal Power Plant lot, off South Railroad Street, beginning Friday, April 24, 2015 and run through Monday, April 27, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

 

During this time, dumpsters will be provided by the Village to assist everyone during this beautification project.  Businesses and private citizens are encouraged to use the dumpsters for depositing trash they have accumulated.  The Village staff will be there to assist you in unloading your trash. 

 

There are a few rules to follow for using the dumpsters.  YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT OF THE VILLAGE OF FREEBURG.  Please place the refuse in the dumpsters, NOT along the side.  NO vehicle tires, grass or tree trimmings are to be placed in the trash receptacles.  Arrangements will be made to empty the dumpsters as needed.

 

TV’s and auto and light truck tires will be accepted this year from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. payable in cash at the time of disposal.  TV’s up to 19" will cost $5, over 19" will cost $10.  Auto and light truck tires will cost $3 per tire.  The Village of Freeburg is also offering pickup of household white items (refrigerators, dish washers, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, freezers or air conditioners).  The household white items are NOT to be placed in the trash receptacles.  An area will be clearly marked for drop off of household white items.  For safety reasons, refrigerator doors are to be dismantled prior to dropping off the item.

The Village of Freeburg, in conjunction with J&C E-Recycling, will accept all electronics.  Items that can be dropped off include computer towers, computer parts (CRT boards, power supplies, CPU, fans, battery backups, modems, etc.); motors, hard drives, floppy drives, CD Rom drives, DVD players, laptops, batteries, printers, cell phones, etc.  TV and electronic drop-off areas will be clearly marked.
