Recycling

The Village of Freeburg is pleased to announce the Recycling Center is open 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. located adjacent to Village Hall. Please click on the attached link which will show what items can and cannot be recycled. The recycling center is a single stream operation which means you do not have to separate your recyclable products. >>Accepted Recycling Items.

In addition to the main recycling bin, separate paper recycling bins are provided. Please see the attached flyer which tells you what items can and cannot be recycled in the Paper. The items not accepted in the paper recycling dumpster can be placed in the main recycling bin. The Paper Recycling bin is one of many located throughout the Village of Freeburg and all proceeds will be distributed to the local schools. >>Paper Recycling Item List

You will also find separate containers which are to be used for aluminum cans. Mr. Kenny Schneider has been collecting Cans for Christ’s Kids in Freeburg for several years and if you would like to donate your cans to this cause, please place them in one of these drums. If you do not wish to participate in the separate newspaper and aluminum can recycling bins, those products can still be deposited in the large recycling bin.

The Village of Freeburg would like to thank everyone who participates in this recycling program! If you have any questions, please call Village Hall at 539-5545.
