CALL TO ORDER: The Freeburg Regular Board Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m., on Monday, 06/21/04, in the Freeburg Municipal Center by Mayor Allen Watters.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Board members and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Discussion – Public Participation: Attorney Jay Downing discussed the growing of Dambacher’s Trucking business and how it would only be in the best interest to Mr. Dambacher to change the zoning and not the residence. Residents Jim Lester, Dave Stafford, Donna Martin, Sue Moritz stated various reason why the re-zoning should not happen, such as safety, noise, and destruction of lawns, sidewalks and streets. Brad Watkins spoke on behalf of Mr. Dambacher, stating he is not a safety issue. Trustee Gaby expressed that Mr. Dambacher is a great asset to the community and will be trying to find a different direction to take on this issue.
Motion made by Trustee Janssen and seconded by Trustee Baker to accept the Plan Commission recommendation for re-zoning Village of Freeburg and Dambacher from single-Family Residential “SR1” to Light Industrial “I-1”. Discussion was held on the possibility of Mr. & Mrs. Mike Smith annexing to the Village with the option of connecting with the sewer system.
Mr. And Mrs. Paul Anderson are requesting to utilize the deduct water meter for a longer period than the prescribe two months. The Committee decided they can continue to use of one of the three meters.
A memo was discussed regarding Freeburg and Smithton entering into a intergovernmental agreement to construct a regional sanitary system. Tabled

TRUSTEE TOM GABY: With the decision of the Board regarding Mr. Dambacher, he was hoping to consider in moving to the Industrial Park.

TRUSTEE MARY KRIEG: The Board should reconsider the stop light issue.
TRUSTEE TRACY COUGHLIN: Trustee Coughlin wanted everyone the reason he brought the photos on the streets and sidewalks want to show the safety hazard and street destruction.
